Monica Ali

Monica Ali was born in 1967 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and grew up in England. Her debut novel, *Brick Lane*, was shortlisted for the Booker Prize. Her other publications include the story collection *Alentejo Blue* and the novels *Untold Story*, *In the Kitchen*, and *Love Marriage*.
