Mirjam Zels

Mirjam Zels, born in Regensburg in 1989 and raised in Dresden, studied illustration and graphic design with a focus on children’s books in Nuremberg, Hamburg and Tel Aviv. She works as an illustrator and writes and illustrates children’s books of her own. Her works include *Die Gefühle-Bande*, *Soll ich es sagen? Eine Geschichte über Geheimnisse* and *Fast wie Freunde*. For *Fast wie Freunde*, she received the Serafina Award from the Frankfurt Book Fair and the German Design Award. Travel and collecting stories are recurring influences on her work.
