Miriam Meckel

Miriam Meckel (born 1967) is a scholar of media and communication. She was a professor of communication management at the University of St. Gallen, taught as a visiting professor at institutions including Harvard University, and served as editor-in-chief and publisher of WirtschaftsWoche. She also held the position of State Secretary for Media and International Affairs in North Rhine-Westphalia. Her books include The Happiness of Unreachability (2007), Brief an mein Leben (2010), and Mein Kopf gehört mir. Eine Reise durch die schöne neue Welt des Brainhacking (2018). Brief an mein Leben became a bestseller. In 2018, she co-founded ada Learning, an educational program focused on future skills, and served as its CEO.
