Miriam Gebhardt

Miriam Gebhardt is a journalist and historian. She worked, among other publications, for the Süddeutsche Zeitung and Die Zeit, and taught history as an außerplanmäßige Professorin at the University of Konstanz. She completed her habilitation with a study of the history of education in the twentieth century, which formed the basis for her book »Die Angst vor dem kindlichen Tyrannen« (2009). Her other books include »Rudolf Steiner. Ein moderner Prophet«, »Alice im Niemandsland«, »Die Weiße Rose« and »Unsere Nachkriegseltern«. Her widely discussed book »Als die Soldaten kamen«, about the rape of German women at the end of the Second World War, was translated into several languages.
