Miranda July

Miranda July (born 1974 in Barre, Vermont) is a filmmaker, artist, and writer. She wrote, directed, and starred in the feature films „Me and You and Everyone We Know“ (2005) and „The Future“ (2011). Her literary debut, „Zehn Wahrheiten“, received the Frank O’Connor International Short Story Prize. Her work has been shown at, among other venues, the Museum of Modern Art and the Venice Biennale. She also developed the messaging app „Somebody“, which has nearby people deliver messages in person rather than transmitting them electronically.
