Millay Hyatt, born in Dallas, Texas, in 1973, is a philosopher, author, and translator. She studied philosophy, political science, and comparative literature in Ohio, Los Angeles, Paris, and Berlin. In 2006, she earned a doctorate from the University of Southern California with a dissertation on the utopian and anti-utopian in Hegel and Deleuze. Her essays and short stories have appeared in various publications. In 2012, she published the book “Ungestillte Sehnsucht. Wenn der Kinderwunsch uns umtreibt” (“Unfulfilled Longing: When the Desire for Children Preoccupies Us”). She received grants from the Berlin Senate in 2020 and 2021.
