Miguel de Unamuno

Miguel de Unamuno (1864–1936) was a Spanish philosopher and writer. He studied at the University of Madrid and later became a professor of history and rector of the University of Salamanca. Alongside scholarly works, he wrote poetry, essays, novels, novellas, and short stories. Because of his political statements, he was removed from his posts several times and spent periods in exile in the Canary Islands and France.
