Michaela Wiegel

Michaela Wiegel (born 1968) is a German journalist and author. For around twenty years, she reported for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on political developments in France. From 1990 to 1993, she studied at the Institut d’Études Politiques (Sciences Po) in Paris and subsequently earned a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University. She followed Emmanuel Macron’s political rise from the beginning and accompanied his first steps at the Élysée Palace. Wiegel is the mother of four children.
