Michael Sorkin

Michael Sorkin (1948–2020) was an American architect, architectural theorist, and critic. He wrote, among other publications, for The Village Voice and published numerous books. Sorkin directed the graduate program in urban design at the City College of New York, served as professor of urban planning at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, and was a visiting professor at Yale, Harvard, Columbia, and Cornell universities. He died in New York in March 2020 from Covid-19.
