Michael Pye

Michael Pye, born in 1946, studied history at Oxford. He worked as a journalist, columnist and reporter in London and New York, including for the Sunday Times, the BBC and The Scotsman. Pye wrote several works of nonfiction and novels that appeared on bestseller lists in the United Kingdom, and received multiple awards for his work. His history of the North Sea was named by the New York Times as one of its »Notable Books of the Year«.
