Michael Klonovsky

Michael Klonovsky (born 1962 in Schlema in the Ore Mountains) is a German writer, journalist and author. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, he began working as a journalist in 1990. From 1992 to 2016, he worked for the news magazine FOCUS in Munich, serving at various times as an editor, copy chief and head of its debate section. From 2016, he worked as a political adviser. Klonovsky writes novels, essays and aphorisms and created the online journal “Acta diurna.” His works include the autobiographically inspired novel “Land der Wunder” (2005). In 1991, he received the Wächter Prize for Journalism.
