Michael Christie

Michael Christie was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He studied psychology and worked in homeless services before making his debut in 2011 with *The Beggar’s Garden*. His second novel, *Das Flüstern der Bäume*, received several nominations, including one for the Scotiabank Giller Prize, one of Canada’s major literary awards.
