Michael Bennett

Michael Bennett, a member of the Māori iwi Ngāti Pikiao and Ngāti Whakaue, is an award-winning New Zealand director, producer and showrunner for film and television. As an author, he wrote the thriller *Six Dead*, the first book in the Hana Westerman series. The series combines crime fiction with questions of identity and belonging, as well as the colonial legacy of New Zealand.
