Melba Escobar

Melba Escobar, born in Colombia in 1976, is a Colombian writer and journalist. She has written five novels and two nonfiction books. Her novel *The Beautician* (*Die Kosmetikerin*) received Colombia’s Premio Nacional de Novela in 2016 for best novel.
