Maxim Biller

Maxim Biller, born in Prague in 1960, is a German-language writer and essayist. He has published novels, short-story collections, essays, plays and autobiographical works. His notable books include Esra, Biografie (2016), Sechs Koffer (2018), Der falsche Gruß (2021) and Mama Odessa (2023). Sechs Koffer was shortlisted for the German Book Prize. Biller also wrote journalistic and essayistic texts for publications including Tempo, Der Spiegel, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Die Zeit. His literary debut, Wenn ich einmal reich und tot bin, appeared in 1990.
