Max Lucado, born in Texas in 1955, is an American Christian author and pastor. Before focusing on writing, he served as a church leader in Miami, worked as a missionary in Brazil, and later became a pastor in San Antonio, Texas. He led Oak Hills Church in San Antonio until 2007. Lucado has written numerous books, with more than 50 titles cited in the available sources; his works have been translated into more than 50 languages. He is married and has three daughters.
