Maude Barlow

Maude Barlow is a Canadian activist and author who focused particularly on water protection and its recognition as a human right. She led the Council of Canadians and Food and Water Watch in Washington and served as a member of the World Future Council and as an adviser to the United Nations. Her work was recognized with awards including the Right Livelihood Award and the EarthCare Award. In Germany, she became known through “Blue Gold,” co-written with Tony Clarke.
