Matthias Matschke

Matthias Matschke, born in 1968, studied acting at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. He was a member of the ensemble at Berlin’s Volksbühne and performed at theaters in Zurich, Hamburg and the Burgtheater in Vienna. His film and television credits include »The Grand Budapest Hotel«, »Pastewka«, »Sketch History« and »Professor T.«. He also appeared in »Polizeiruf 110« and the comedy »Die Geschichte der Menschheit – leicht gekürzt«. In 2020, he received the German Audiobook Prize for his reading of »Achtsam morden«. His debut novel, »Falschgeld«, was published in 2022.
