Matthias Lohre

Matthias Lohre (born 1976) studied medieval and modern history, Anglo-American history, and English at the University of Cologne, graduating with a Magister Artium. From 2005 to 2014, he worked as a political editor and reporter for the German newspaper taz. As a journalist, he wrote on politics, history, and social issues. His autobiographical nonfiction book *Das Erbe der Kriegsenkel* reached the Spiegel bestseller list in 2016. His other books include *Milde Kerle* (2013), *Das Opfer ist der neue Held* (2019), and the novel *Der kühnste Plan seit Menschengedenken* (2021).
