Matt Brown

Matt Brown is a British author and broadcaster. He published ten books with Batford, including the series “Everything You Know … Is Wrong,” which examines common misconceptions. He co-authored “Londonist Mapped” (AA Publishing), writing the text and creating the maps; the book won the Stanford’s Illustrated Travel Book of the Year Award in 2018. He also created the maps for Patricia Bracewell’s three historical novels about Emma of Normandy. His children’s book “Mutant Zombies Cursed My School Trip” won the FCBG Children’s Book Award in 2020. A keen map enthusiast, Brown mapped the settings of every novel by Charles Dickens, as well as those of works by Virginia Woolf, Jane Austen and Sherlock Holmes.
