Mary Robinette Kowal

Mary Robinette Kowal, born in North Carolina in 1969, published novels and short stories in the science-fiction and fantasy genres. Her best-known works include the Glamourist Histories series, the novel Ghost Talkers, and the Lady Astronaut series. Her honors include the Astounding Award for Best New Writer, four Hugo Awards, a Nebula Award, and a Locus Award. Alongside her writing, Kowal was a trained puppeteer and worked as a voice actor; she narrated audiobooks by authors including Seanan McGuire, Cory Doctorow, and John Scalzi.
