Mary Oliver

Mary Oliver (1935–2019) was an American poet. During her lifetime, she published more than 20 poetry collections and was among the most widely read contemporary poets in the United States. She received the Pulitzer Prize for „American Primitive“ and the National Book Award for „New and Selected Poems“. Her work also appeared on the „New York Times“ bestseller list. Oliver was born in Ohio and died in Florida.
