Mary Fulbrook

Mary Fulbrook, born in 1951, is a British historian who was Professor of German History at University College London and Director of the European Institute. Her research on German and European social and experiential history in the twentieth century was recognized, among other distinctions, with the Wiener Library’s Fraenkel Prize. Her publications include *A Small Town near Auschwitz: Ordinary Nazis and the Holocaust* (2013), *Dissonant Lives: Generations and Violence through the German Dictatorships* (2011), and *Everyday Life and Society in the GDR* (2008).
