Marusa Krese

Maruša Krese (1947–2013) was a Slovenian writer and cultural mediator. She studied art history and psychotherapy and became involved early on in opposition to ideologies and in Slovenia’s 1968 student movement. Krese worked to foster exchange between the German-speaking and Slovenian cultural spheres. In 1997, she received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for her humanitarian engagement during the Bosnian War.
