Martina Gedeck

Martina Gedeck (born 1961 in Munich) is a German actress. After studying German literature and history, she trained in acting at the Berlin University of the Arts. She made her stage debut while still a student at Theater im Turm in Frankfurt and later performed at venues including the Deutsches Schauspielhaus, the Hamburg Kammerspiele, the Schauspielhaus Basel and Schauspiel Frankfurt. Her filmography includes more than 100 German and international productions, among them Bella Martha, The Lives of Others, The Wall and The Baader Meinhof Complex. She has received numerous awards for her acting. In 2022, she won the German Audiobook Award for her reading of Natascha Wodin’s Nastjas Tränen.
