Martin Widmark (born in 1961 in Sweden) worked for ten years as a middle-school teacher and taught Swedish to immigrants before becoming known as a children’s author. His works include the “Whodunit Detective Agency” series, known in German as “Detektivbüro LasseMaja,” as well as other children’s book series, songs for children, and educational materials. His books have been translated into more than 30 languages and have received numerous awards, including the 2021 Emil Award from the Småland Academy.
