Martin Popoff is a Canadian author and journalist specializing in biographies and nonfiction books about hard rock and heavy metal. He has published more than 100 books covering various forms of rock, including works on Dio, Whitesnake, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Led Zeppelin, and the Scorpions. As a journalist, he contributed to music magazines including Goldmine, Record Collector, Guitar World, and Metal Hammer. He also participated in a BBC documentary about heavy metal.
