Martin Peichl

Martin Peichl, born in 1983 in the Waldviertel region of Austria, studied German and English literature and taught German, English, and academic writing. His work has appeared in anthologies and literary journals. Among other distinctions, he received the Hans Weigel Literature Grant, the Villach Literature Prize, and the Forum Land Literature Prize, all in 2018, as well as third place in the FM4 short-story competition “Wortlaut” in 2017. His debut novel, *Wie man Dinge repariert* (*How to Repair Things*), was published by Edition Atelier in 2019, reached the finals of the Alpha Literature Prize, and received the Federal Chancellor’s Book Award.
