Martin Beyer

Martin Beyer, born in 1976, earned a doctorate in German studies and worked as a freelance writer, editor, and lecturer in creative writing and storytelling. He published his first story at the age of 18. His debut novel, *Alle Wasser laufen ins Meer*, appeared in 2009, followed by the story collection *Mörderballaden* in 2013. Beyer received several literary awards, including the Walter Kempowski Literature Prize and the Bavarian Arts Promotion Prize. In 2011, he was also awarded the Cultural Promotion Prize of the City of Bamberg.
