Markus Reiter

Markus Reiter (born 1968) studied political science, economics and history in Bamberg, Edinburgh and Berlin, graduating with a degree in political science. After completing a traineeship at a daily newspaper, he worked as a freelance journalist, a political public-relations consultant and an editor. From 1997 to 2000, he was a reporter and deputy editor-in-chief of Reader’s Digest Deutschland, followed by a position as features editor at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. From 2003 to 2006, he was editor-in-chief and a member of the management board of a communications agency in southern Germany. Reiter has published books and articles on language, communication and the media and has taught in journalism training and continuing-education programs.
