Markus Gerke

Markus Gerke completed a degree in geodesy at LU Hannover in 2000 and received his doctorate in 2006 in the fields of remote sensing and image analysis. He then became an associate professor at the International Institute of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation in Enschede, later part of the University of Twente. In this international academic environment, he undertook a range of teaching responsibilities. In January 2017, Gerke became head of the Institute of Geodesy and Photogrammetry at Technische Universität Braunschweig. He was also involved in degree programmes in civil engineering, environmental engineering and environmental sciences.
