Mariko Tamaki

Mariko Tamaki, born in Toronto in 1975, is a Canadian author and comics writer. With her cousin Jillian Tamaki, she created the graphic novel “This One Summer,” which received the Eisner Award, the Ignatz Award and the Max and Moritz Prize. Her other notable works include “Skim,” “Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up with Me,” “I Am Not Starfire,” “Supergirl: Being Super,” “Harley Quinn: Breaking Glass,” “She-Hulk,” “X-23,” “Wonder Woman” and “Batman: One Bad Day – Two-Face.” She also wrote several novels based on the comic series “Lumberjanes” and prose works including “Saving Montgomery Sole” and “Cold: A Novel”.
