Marie Phillips

Born in London in 1976, Marie Phillips became known for her novel “Gods Behaving Badly” (2007), published in German as “Götter ohne Manieren.” The book was translated into 20 languages and adapted for film. Phillips worked on television documentaries and as a bookseller, and wrote for BBC series. Her second novel, “The Table of Less Valued Knights,” was longlisted for the 2015 Baileys Prize for Fiction. She also co-wrote the parody “Fifty Shelves of Grey.”
