Marianne Sommer

Marianne Sommer studied English literature and linguistics as well as biology at the universities of Zurich and Coventry. In August 2011, she became a full professor of cultural studies at the University of Lucerne, where she took over the direction of the Integrated Degree Programme in Cultural Studies. Earlier, or in another academic capacity, she worked as a senior assistant at the Chair of Science Studies at ETH Zurich. Her research has focused on the cultural history of primatology and biological anthropology.
