Maria Over

Maria Over, born in Athens in 1972, is an artist, designer, and illustrator. She studied, among other places, at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague and earned a Master of Arts from New York University. She subsequently worked in New York as a designer and art director for prominent agencies. She later became a freelance illustrator and worked, among other things, on children’s books. Her first picture book was *In deinem Herzen wohnt das Glück*; her artistic subjects include enchanted worlds as well as animals and flowers in watercolor.
