Marek Edelman

Marek Edelman (1919–2009) was a member of the General Jewish Labour Bund and played a decisive role in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in 1943 and in the Warsaw Uprising against the German occupation in 1944. After the Second World War, he worked as a physician and served as a member of the Polish parliament.
