Marc Voltenauer was born in Geneva in 1973. After studying theology, he worked in banking and the pharmaceutical industry before turning to crime fiction. His debut novel, Le Dragon du Muveran, was published in 2015. He continued his crime series featuring Inspector Auer with Qui a tué Heidi? (2017), which received the award for best French crime novel from Nouvelles Voix du Polar, and L’Aigle de sang (2019). His novels have received literary awards in Switzerland and France.
