Marc Levy was born in France in 1961. He studied computer science and business administration in Paris and initially worked in business and as an architect. From 1983 to 1990, he lived in San Francisco, where he founded a company. At the age of 37, he wrote his first novel, *If Only It Were True* (*Solange du da bist*), which was adapted for film by Steven Spielberg and became an international success. His other well-known novels include *Where Are You?*, *Seven Days for Eternity*, and *See You Again*.
