Marah Stets worked as an author and editor of cookbooks. Her culinary career began in France, where she helped lead cooking classes, organized excursions into the countryside, and provided French-to-English translations at the renowned La Varenne cooking school. In the mid-1990s, she moved to New York to work on the 1997 edition of “Joy of Cooking.” She was a co-author of several New York Times bestsellers, as well as cookbooks that were finalists for or winners of the James Beard Award and the IACP Cookbook Award.
