Manfred Vasold

Manfred Vasold (born 1943 in Nuremberg) studied history and other humanities and sciences in the United States and Europe, earning a doctorate from the University of Erlangen in 1978. Before pursuing an academic career, he trained as a nurse and spent time in Saudi Arabia. Until 1981, he worked as a research associate and publishing editor, and subsequently as a freelance translator and writer. His publications focused primarily on social and medical history.
