Manfred Theisen

Manfred Theisen, born in Cologne in 1962, studied political science. He subsequently spent two years conducting research in the Soviet Union for the German Interior Ministry and worked as an editor at a daily newspaper. He also carried out research in the Middle East and Africa, where he worked for the German Foreign Office and the Goethe-Institut. Since 2000, he has worked as a freelance author, particularly of books for children and young adults. His novels have been translated into several languages and received awards.
