Majgull Axelsson

Majgull Axelsson (born 1947) is a Swedish author and journalist. She achieved her literary breakthrough in 1997 with the novel *The April Witch*, which won the August Prize of the Swedish Publishers’ Association. The bestseller also introduced her work to a broad readership in Germany. Several of her other novels have been translated into German. In her journalism and fiction, Axelsson frequently focused on people and groups at the margins of society.
