Maja Winter is the pen name of author Lena Klassen, who was born in Moscow in 1971 and grew up in Germany. She studied literary studies, English studies and philosophy in Bielefeld. Under the name Maja Winter, she published epic fantasy novels. She also wrote books for children and young adults, as well as novels for adults.
