Maja Schendel

Maja Schendel was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Before turning to writing, she worked as a nurse and in the training of nursing professionals. Her enthusiasm for distinctive natural landscapes took her to California’s Yosemite National Park, which inspired the setting of her New Adult novels *The Sky Above Us* and *The Fire Inside Us*. She also writes in other genres; a short crime story grew out of her childhood connection with St. Wilhadi Church in Ulsnis and her research into a historical murder case there.
