Maile Meloy

Maile Meloy (born 1972 in Montana) is an American author. She writes novels, short stories, essays, and books for adults and children. Her novels include *A Family Daughter* (2010) and *Liars and Saints* (2011), and she has also published several short-story collections. Her short stories, which have received multiple awards, have appeared in the *New Yorker*, the *Paris Review*, *Granta*, and *Best American Short Stories 2015*. In 2007, she was selected for *Granta*’s list of the 21 Best Young American Novelists.
