Maike Maja Nowak

Maike Maja Nowak, born in Leipzig in 1961, is an author and trauma therapist. She published numerous specialist articles and books on human–dog communication, including the SPIEGEL bestsellers »Wanja und die wilden Hunde«, »Abenteuer Vertrauen«, »Die mit dem Hund tanzt« and »Wieviel Mensch braucht ein Hund«. She became widely known through the ZDF television series »Die Hundeflüsterin«. Before becoming an author, she worked as a singer-songwriter. She was licensed as a naturopath for psychotherapy and certified as an animal therapist.
