Madeleine Frey

Madeleine Frey (born 1984) studied art history and economics at the universities of Freiburg, Lugano, Basel, and Cambridge. As a curator, she has organized exhibitions with, among others, Benjamin Appel, Ana Navas, Jacob Dahlgren, and Kate Cooper. Her projects include “Aktion&Malerei” (2017), Martin Pfeifle’s “terr!” (2018) at the Sindelfingen Lido, and “#Material 4.0” (2018). Her curatorial work is characterized by intermedia, process-based, and performative approaches and engages with the economic and sociological conditions of the art world.
