Mac P. Lorne (born 1957 in East Germany) studied veterinary medicine as well as horse breeding and equestrian sport. Together with his wife and daughter, he established an equestrian and breeding business in Bavaria. In addition to specialist and nonfiction books and articles on veterinary medicine, horse breeding, and riding instruction, he wrote historical novels. His first historical novel, Das Herz des Löwen, was published in 2011. His other works include Der Pirat – ein Francis-Drake-Roman and Jack Bannister – Herr der Karibik. His historical novels received multiple awards.
