M. C. Beaton

M. C. Beaton was one of the pseudonyms of the Scottish writer Marion Chesney. Before devoting herself entirely to writing, she worked as a theatre critic and journalist for various British newspapers. She became best known for her mystery series featuring the English detective Agatha Raisin and the Scottish village policeman Hamish Macbeth. Marion Chesney died in December 2019.
