Lydia Davis

Lydia Davis (born in Massachusetts in 1947) is an American writer and literary translator. Her works include the novel “The End of the Story” (1995) and the “Collected Stories” (2009). She translated works from French by, among others, Maurice Blanchot, Michel Butor, Gustave Flaubert, and Marcel Proust. In 2013, she received the Man Booker International Prize for “Can’t and Won’t”.
